Fair Use Policy (FUP)
Effective: 2025-08-29
This Fair Use Policy protects platform reliability for all Serpware customers. By using Serpware, you agree to these limits. We may throttle, queue, or suspend activity that exceeds them.
1) Scope
Applies to all Serpware plans (Free, Pro, Scale) and Serpware Lifetime Deal (LTD) licenses sold via marketplaces.
2) Definitions
- Keyword credit: Processing of one (1) keyword through Serpware’s research/clustering pipeline. Re-processing in a new job consumes a new credit.
- Keyword Research job (“research”): Any task that triggers new SERP fetch + clustering (e.g., new list from paste/CSV/GSC, re-cluster that requires refetch, spider chart recompute requiring reprocess).
- Heavy job: Any submission that processes ≥500 keywords.
- Task: A queued unit of work (heavy or light).
- Month: Calendar month (UTC). Credits reset monthly; no rollover.
- Seat: A named user permitted to access the account.
3) Global Limits (all plans)
3.1 One-Research-At-A-Time
- Only one (1) active Keyword Research job per account at any time.
- Additional research submissions are auto-queued. Queue depth is 1 pending; further attempts return HTTP 429(“research in progress”).
- You may cancel the active job to free the slot. Idle jobs without progress for 30 minutes may be auto-canceled.
3.2 Concurrency (heavy jobs)
- Free: 1 concurrent heavy job
- Pro & LTD: 3 concurrent heavy jobs
- Scale: 6 concurrent heavy jobs
3.3 Daily throughput (all tasks)
- Free: up to 250 tasks/day
- Pro & LTD: up to 5,000 tasks/day
- Scale: up to 25,000 tasks/day
Exceeding the cap may trigger queueing or temporary rate limits.

Includes everything in Pro. Excludes API, team roles/SSO, priority support. |
Unlimited projects across all paid tiers (Pro, Scale, LTD).
5) API & Automation
- Scale only: API tokens with default limits 30 req/sec burst, 3,000 req/hour, 100,000 req/month pooled per account.
- Pro & LTD: No API access. Automating via scraping, headless browsers, or undocumented endpoints is prohibited.
6) Storage & Data Retention
- Raw fetches and caches (SERP snapshots, intermediate embeddings): kept up to 30 days and may be pruned automatically.
- Aggregated outputs (clusters, labels, spider charts): retained while the account is active.
- We may store anonymized telemetry for reliability, abuse prevention, and capacity planning.
7) Acceptable Use
- No account sharing or sublicensing.
- No offering Serpware as a hosted/managed service to third parties.
- No bulk export aimed at replicating Serpware’s datasets or competing services.
- No circumvention of metering, queueing, or rate limits.
- No interference with platform integrity (e.g., DDoS, credential stuffing, automated sign-ups).
8) Enforcement
- Automatic throttling/queueing
- Notice with remediation steps
- Temporary suspension
- Termination for persistent or egregious abuse
We may adjust limits temporarily during incidents or peak load to maintain stability.
9) Changes
We may update this FUP to reflect new features, capacity, or security requirements. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
